My Story
Personalized. Friendly. Quality Education.

My mother is a retired primary school teacher. I pursued a similar profession having witnessed her passion and drive for teaching. While pursuing graduate studies and working as a researcher, I have supervised and mentored undergraduate and graduate students doing their thesis. For a year, I also taught chemistry courses at the University of the Philippines.
Back in the Philippines, I tutor my nieces and nephews ages 5-11, Math and Science subjects. Four of them are now high school students and thanks to internet, I'm still able to tutor them despite the distance. I have also worked as a teaching assistant at Kumon, where I was helping students become self learners and acquire basic academic skills to achieve excellence in their studies.

I started tutor for chemistry the second semester (2022) of year 11 to improve my understanding and grades, I was then achieving C’s and few B’s, and I barely passed my chemistry final exam. After weekly tutoring via zoom and in person lessons, I learnt and understand the topics being taught in class (not like last semester). I had improved greatly, results showing in my first test, I received my first A (92%!!). My overall grade for chemistry was an A. Loida’s tutoring lessons helped me understand the topic, I asked questions that I did not understand, and she gave detailed and understandable answers that helped me greatly, highly recommend!!

I’ve been with Loida for a semester and have been commended by my Chemistry teacher on my improvement. I find that her classes are designed to suit my learning style and her unwavering patience is notable. She explores each topic in depth and explains at a pace that enables me to understand.
With Loida, I went from barely passing to getting B’s and hopefully A’s in the nearer future as I look to continue my studies with Loida.

Thank you Ms. Loida, You have really helped me understand many chemistry topics that I had trouble grasping. And as the guinea pig (first student in AU), you have been the best at explaining chemistry out of all the science tutors I've met (and I have met a LOT). You clearly were devoted to our lessons, explaining all unanswered questions and making me sample tests and exams specifically for me. For that I cannot thank you enough. Your tutoring has really really helped me, and as a side note, my exam is next week 😱😖, and I am using your resources to help study. I wish you the best of luck in whatever plans you have. I hope we can stay in touch!

Working with Loida as my chemistry tutor was an incredible experience that proved to be invaluable in my preparation for the GAMSAT. With my background in nursing and limited exposure to science, I was initially daunted by the prospect of tackling chemistry topics, both organic and general. However, Loida's expertise and teaching style quickly put me at ease.
Throughout our tutoring sessions, Loida demonstrated a deep understanding of the subject matter. We covered a wide range of topics, starting from the fundamentals of general chemistry and progressively delving into the intricacies of organic chemistry. Her explanations were always clear, concise, and tailored to my learning pace, making even the most challenging concepts accessible and comprehensible.
What truly set Loida apart as a tutor was her dedication to my success. She not only ensured that I grasped the underlying theories but also focused on developing my problem-solving skills, particularly with regards to GAMSAT-style questions. Her insightful reasoning strategies for organic chemistry questions proved to be invaluable in the exam, giving me the confidence and know-how to tackle them effectively.
Beyond her exceptional teaching abilities, Loida was an approachable and patient tutor. She was always ready to address any questions or concerns I had, making the learning process engaging and interactive. Her willingness to provide additional explanations and clarifications further enhanced my understanding of the material.
Thanks to Loida's guidance and support, I not only gained a solid grasp of chemistry but also successfully passed the GAMSAT. I can confidently say that Loida played a pivotal role in my achievement.
If you are looking for a dedicated, knowledgeable, and patient chemistry tutor who can cater to your individual needs, I wholeheartedly recommend Loida. Her passion for teaching and her commitment to her students' success make her an exceptional choice for anyone seeking to excel in chemistry and beyond.

Ma’am Loida was my mentor when I was doing my Masters in the University of the Philippines. I have learned most of my organic and polymer chemistry techniques from her. Because of her, I can confidently and independently perform instrumentations like HPLC, NMR, FTIR, DSC and TGA and also analyse the resulting data after chemical analyses. Her passion in science research and education encouraged me to pursue PhD studies here in Australia. Up until now, I still consult and bounce ideas with her, and she is more than happy to help me troubleshoot experimental challenges I come across. I am very thankful for Ma’am Loida’s guidance that made me the passionate polymer chemist that I am today.

I studied chemistry in college with Loida and I know she is one of the most hard working among us. Whether it's doing laboratory experiments, writing formal reports, or organising events for other students - you can count on her to give her best. Over the years and even outside the university, I have seen her speak during conventions and I can tell she has developed into a good scientist who can teach both practical skills and theory.

When i was a research student at Hokkaido University in 2015, I had difficulty adapting to a new environment especially in our laboratory, which is full of skillful and smart students. Fortunately, Ms. Casalme helped me learn about chemical reactions and improve my laboratory skills such as preparing solutions, extraction, column chromatography, data analysis, and operating instruments such as NMR and FTIR. Beside that, she is so kind and clear in explaining about chemistry context.

Ms. Casalme was our teacher in the Laboratory during College Thesis days. She was our guide under Professor Sumera.
She is undeniably patient, kind and humble. Her peace stands out amidst storms because she has the most relaxed aura and infectious smile.
Our Laboratory days were more fun and made easier because of her. Grateful to have been taught and guided by Ms. Casalme.
